Lisa Ramsey

Anything is possible with a positive attitude, creativity and a plan.

This philosophy is at the heart of a project management strategy that is backed by over 15 years of experience. Focusing on providing a temporary expansion of an organization’s talent pool, Lisa strives to not only be an experienced resource, but also to support existing staff with the work necessary to achieve identified goals.

Having studied non profit management in her masters degree, Lisa brings academic knowledge as well as practical experience to her work. Through previous work with a US regional arts council and as executive director of a community foundation, Lisa has focused on strategic planning, grant programming and writing, staffing reconfiguration, internal procedure assessment, and technology facilitation and implementation to move these organizations forward.  Practical daily experience of achieving goals in the context of working with a board, staff and operations gives her a unique insight into how to assist with establishing road maps to success that really work.

Further experience has been garnered through work with Canadian organizations such as the Stephen Lewis Foundation and The Banff Centre. With these opportunities Lisa was able to hone project management and leadership skills by executing various fundraising events, coordinating an international music competition and aiding with organizational rebranding.

The process of achieving success begins with a deep understanding of not only the established goals and expectations of the organization but the context in which the change will be created – daily operations, stakeholders, human capital and time. Through careful observation and analysis an engaged process evolves that maps necessary resources and steps, creates an environment that defines the path, and establishes a manageable timeline.

Lisa also draws from her music teaching and long-distance event training experiences to bring a dimension of play and discipline to her project management work.  Engaging in everything from rock climbing to barefoot skiing to completing her first Ironman triathlon in 2007, Lisa finds joy in the process. Anything is possible with a positive attitude, creativity and a plan.
